Promote Your Event at St. Kate's
The Information Center offers several ways to advertise your event across campus. Select one—or combine multiple publicity methods—to reach more students.
Flyers, banners, elevator signs, magnetic boards, display cases, atrium tables, chalking, and more
Display your event on TV monitors throughout the CdC; send an email to digisignagecdc@stkate.edu. Include your flyer in a PNG or JPG file format and the 2-week period you would like it displayed.
Share your event in the weekly Campus Life email.
Drop off four printed flyers at the Information Center. No reservation is required, and we'll post them as space allows.
Add your event to the official St. Kate's calendar.
Coeur de Catherine Student Center Flier Posting Policy
Purpose:
Student organizations, university departments/offices, individuals, and outside organizations may use University space to publicize events and meetings. Out of consideration for the right of free expression, the rights of viewers, civility, and respect, the following guidelines are to be followed when posting fliers and notices. This policy applies to fliers and other forms of publicity posted in the Coeur de Catherine Student Center. CdC Student Center Policy follows general campus policy and specific CdC Student Center policy as outlined below.
St. Catherine University Posted Flier Policy:
This policy refers to any form of publicity posted on the St. Catherine University Campus.
Each building on campus has designated locations for the posting of signs, posters and other information. Certain bulletin boards, elevator postings, and display cases in each building are the responsibility of individual campus departments. Those departments control the use of their areas and must be contacted for use. The posting locations may be for the St. Kate’s community only or may include external community members.
Posted materials must be sponsored by an individual or group within the campus community.
The University reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of any materials posted and the locations for posting.
Postings must not include hateful or derogatory messages or symbols. If elements of the posting represent a message(s) which violate university policy (e.g., negatively targeting individuals or groups of people with or without the appearance of intending to inflict physical or psychological harm) the posting will be immediately removed by the university. Formal action may be taken by the university through the Student Code of Conduct.
All posted materials must clearly indicate the individual or group sponsoring the posting and contain an email address or telephone number where the sponsor can be contacted.
Information regarding meetings or events must be removed within two days of the completion of the meeting or event.
Material posted inappropriately is subject for immediate removal.
Coeur de Catherine Student Center Posted Flier Policy:
All guidelines listed above apply to Coeur de Catherine Student Center in addition to the following:
The Information Center manages the publicity options listed on the CdC Publicity Reservation Form which includes fliers in multiple locations of the Coeur de Catherine Student Center. These locations are described in the form link above.
Magnetic board and elevator postings are located in higher traffic areas and require the CdC Publicity Reservation Form to be filled out before the fliers are posted. These posting areas are for St. Kate’s community members only.
Bulletin board postings are in lower traffic areas, don’t require the CdC Publicity Form to be filled out, and are for both St. Kate’s community and external community members.
Information Center staff will post the fliers as space permits; individuals cannot post on their own.
Information Center staff will also remove fliers.
A copy of all postings will be sent to Archives and Special Collections when taken down.
Refer to the CdC Publicity Reservation Form link above for additional information.
