Located in the center of campus, the Quad is the perfect place to have a picnic lunch, chat with friends, study, or lay a blanket on the grass to relax. During warmer months, professors will often hold classes in the Quad to take in the beautiful campus setting and breathe in the fresh air.

Located to the west of Whitby is the English Garden. Filled with a variety of flora and a gazebo, the garden is great place to study or relax in the fresh air.

Dew Drop Pond is an integral part of St. Kate's. The area around the pond feels like a mini nature center with ducks and wildlife wandering about. It’s open to the public, so it’s not uncommon to also see neighbors from the community playing fetch with their dog. Come hang out or catch some sun when the Minnesota weather permits!

Full of beehives and condos (made by St. Kate's Art Students), the Pollinator Path is an entirely collaborative endeavor with clubs and departments to combine sustainability efforts.

Fontbonne comes with a fun surprise on the roof of the building — a bee colony that includes two bee hives! Implemented in 2016, this green initiative is managed by St. Kate’s students and faculty in the Biology department, as well as supporting groups such as St. Kate’s BioClub and Beez Kneez.

Our small 3-circuit garden labyrinth is located near the gardens, behind The O'Shaughnessy on the CSJ Campus. Shrouded by trees, native plants and pollinators, it’s enchanting (and the perfect size for younger users). Open to the public during daylight hours. Designed by Marilyn Larson.

Come join us in the Garden from late May – October, Tuesdays, 5 – 7 p.m. Gather and tend to the Garden and harvest the Garden when ready.
