Conclusion/ Creative Synthesis

I would like to conclude this portfolio by emphasizing my role as a nurse and my vision for the years ahead. I have come a long way in my journey as a nurse, guided by commitment and a deep sense of purpose. Along the way, I’ve cared for patients from all walks of life, who have taught me valuable lessons about the true meaning of nursing and the mental and emotional dedication it requires. I will continue to learn and grow as I work in the profession, and appreciate the time I have with my patients. I am fascinated about maternal nursing and women's health, so I plan to find a job in that specialty while also focusing on public health. The image I included above shows a hospital in Galkacayo, Somalia a city facing critical shortages in funding, resources, and medical personnel. There is an urgent need for humanitarian and medical support, and I am determined to contribute to improving the current healthcare infrastructure in under resourced regions of the world. I believe my skills are essential in critical care, disease prevention, mental health support, and community health especially in regions affected by conflict and displacement. Nurses have the power to advocate for the rights and well being of refugees, immigrants, and others impacted by global instability. Our voices carry weight, particularly when used to elevate the health concerns of marginalized populations.
