Code of Conduct Quest 7
Step 1: Read the about the different types of Offenses and then come tell your teacher about one of them.
Technology Offenses
1st Offense - A student chooses not to follow a rule/expectation outlined by the Technology Teacher or the Classroom Teacher for proper use of the Technology Device.
Action - A warning/time-out will be given in accordance with individual classroom rules.
Teacher/Principal/Tech Teacher can decide to Move this to a 2nd Offense Action based on the severity of the Offense.
2nd Offense - A student chooses not to follow a rule/expectation outlined by the Technology Teacher or the Classroom Teacher for proper use of the Technology Device for a 2nd time or as a repeated offense.
Action - Students will be given detention and stay in for lunch recess along with a written warning. An “Incident Form” is filled out by the teacher and the student. Students and parents are to sign the form and return it by the next school day.
Loss of Device - Student may lose device privileges may depending on severity of offense.
3rd Offense - A student chooses not to follow a rule/expectation outlined by the Technology Teacher or the Classroom Teacher for proper use of the Technology Device for a 3rd time or as a repeated offense.
Action - Students will be given lunch detention along with a written warning. An “Incident Form” is filled out by the teacher and the student. Students and parents are to sign the form and return it by the next school day.
Loss of Device - Loss of device privileges may occur and will depend on the severity of offenses. Loss of privileges will be a minimum of one day.
4th Offense - A student chooses not to follow a rule/expectation outlined by the Technology Teacher or the Classroom Teacher for proper use of the Technology Device for a 4th time or as a repeated offense.
Action - Teacher/Principal/ Tech Teacher will determine the length of consequence based on specific offenses. An Incident Report will be completed by the teacher. Suspension could occur based on the severity of the offense.
Loss of Device - Loss of device privileges may occur and will depend on the severity of offenses. Loss of privileges could be indefinite.
Hardware Offenses
1st Offense - If this offense includes damage to hardware, an incident report will be completed by Tech Teacher for Repair Chargers.
Action - Student will be provided a Loaner, until repairs have been made to students original computer.
2nd Offense - If this offense includes damage to hardware, an incident report will be completed by Tech Teacher for Repair Chargers.
Action - Students will lose privileges of the device until Repair Charges have been paid.
3rd Offense - If this offense includes damage to hardware, an incident report will be completed by Tech Teacher for Repair Chargers.
Action - Students will lose privileges of the device until Repair Charges have been paid. Further consequences will be determined by Technology Teacher and Principal based upon damage caused to device.
4th Offense- If this offense includes damage to hardware, an incident report will be completed by Tech Teacher for Repair Chargers
Action - Students will lose privileges of the device until Repair Charges have been paid. Further consequences will be determined by Technology Teacher and Principal based upon damage caused to device. Can result in loss of device indefinitely.
