Digital Footprint essay

Have you ever posted something and regretted it? Or maybe seen something that isn't the nicest on social media? This happens all the time on the online world. In this unit, we talked about what kind of digital footprint we wanted and what we didn't want. You would want a good reputation for the future. High schools and colleges look at your records and what kind of person you are. They most likely won't want a person that is disrespectful to other people.

First off, whatever you post, stays there forever. That's right, it never ever goes away. You need to be cautious about what you post about others and even some of your opinions on things. Because of social media, many relationships of friends and family have been hurt or broken. We all have times when we have a certain thought about someone, but we can't just post whatever we want about whoever we want. The disrespect that kids, even 10 years old, have for other people, is outrageous. 

In the end, being kind to others is very important because it could ruin your future and the others' future too. Being kind is also just a nice thing to do. People all around the world should be kind to each other no matter what.
