We can all learn a lesson from our digital footprint. There are a lot of people that  don’t know about their digital footprint. This is important, so we can have a safe and wonderful environment. People don’t want to be taken down, they want to be lifted up. 

I can apply what I learned to be smarter in my future. I will make sure that I am being kind to all people no matter what. It is a lot easier to say mean things to people on social media, then it is to say it to their face. When I am online I will make sure to say things that I would say in person. Another thing is that people can see what you do, even if you think they can’t. If you post online that you love to read and your friend knows you don't like to. They might say that, and then a school can see that you are lying about liking it.. This can change the way they think of you, they will think of you as a liar. 

Lastly, I can be kind by saying things that I would want people to say to me. If I would be sad if they said it to me, they would feel the same way if I said it to them. We want everyone to always be happy and kind. If they are mad they will be mean, if they are happy they would be nice to other people. This is why your digital footprint matters so much to everyone.
