Digital Footprint

Digital footprint is an important aspect of everyone’s life. This can have an effect on a person's entire life, including jobs and relationships. Many think that digital footprint doesn’t have an effect on them, but they don’t understand what happens when they do things. When you post something on social media, such as Instagram, Tik Tok, or Snapchat, it is there forever. There is no going back once you post something. Then, when job interviews or other important matters roll up, they can check your digital footprint to see what kind of person you are. Almost all jobs require a background check. Your digital footprint can be a part of this. If you say something bad about the company, they are highly likely to not hire you. If you say something bad about your boss online, even if you are already hired, you could get fired. Digital footprint can also end relationships. If you say something nasty about your friend, your relationship could suffer and you might not be friends anymore. These are just a few examples to show that your digital footprint actually matters.
