I am a 13 year old kid, my name is Grant Broering. I started playing lacrosse in second grade to follow in my brother's footsteps. It instantly became my favorite sport. When I started I was on the lower team as a defender for the beginning of the season, But in the middle of the season they moved me to middie and sometimes attack. At the end of the first season we had a tournament where I scored 2 goals in one game and they were my first goals of my career. Next season I was on their high team. I played middie and attack and I scored more goals. At the end of the season we had the same tournament and we won the whole tournament. The next few seasons were about the same until probably last season. Last season they put me on the low team. I averaged a hat trick almost every game and I beat everyone on the high team in drills and competitions. So eventually they moved me up to the high team. I played for the high team and low team because the low team didn't have enough players. After the season ended I got asked to be on a summer travel team. On our team we didn't have enough defenders so I stepped up and volunteered to be a defender. I got a new pole that was six feet. I learned so much about defense and loved playing it so much.
Lacrosse has led me to picking up so many skills and met so many new people. Thanks for listening to my lacrosse life.
