Music: Hi Music Friends! This week, I want you to test yourself to see how much you know, or how much you can understand just by using your eyes and ears!

Grab the instrument you made a while ago (or find / make a NEW ONE using things you have around the house), and make some music with a great video series! There are 4 levels, see how far you can get in understanding the music written on the screen. Do not worry about what you haven’t seen before! Even if the musical notes you see look unfamiliar, it’s still okay to try your best and play what you think sounds great!

To play: simply click on the links below and play along. If you are looking to challenge yourself even further on these videos, click on the setting of the video in the lower right corner, and adjust the speed (you can make it 1.5x, or even 2x the speed of the original song!). Then you will be reading and playing faster

Level 1:

https://youtu.be/4vZ5mlfZlgk

Level 2:

https://youtu.be/cHad-I5AJT0

Level 3:

https://youtu.be/rf5rcXhGPps

Level 4:

https://youtu.be/yTUXC_O2FI8

If you follow the sounds you hear, before you know it, you will be reading actual music! See if you can keep with the beat you watch in the video. Good luck, and enjoy!

Please let me know what video you got up to, and how long into the video!

Best,

Mr. K

Those of you who did the Mary picture, if you haven’t taken a picture with you holding it to send to me, please do so today.

To all our wonderful mothers, enjoy your day on Sunday. Thank you for all you do. Happy Mother’s Day!

Religion: In Religion, we will learn that May is the month we honor the Blessed Mother. We will hear the story of Our Lady of Fatima.

Hi I’m Our Lady of Fatima! I’m also known as Our Lady of the Rosary. I appeared to three little children named Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco. I asked them to pray the rosary every day and make sacrifices so that sinners could go to heaven. Many people did not believe the children’s stories about me, so I granted a miracle and made the sun dance in the sky. Color my picture below.

Find one item, bring it back to your kitchen table and leave it there.. Then you go to the next item on the list. If you bring the wrong object, you must return it and then get the correct object. Time starts when your mom or dad says go and time stops when you have the last object on the kitchen table. The object of this hunt is to return the items back where you found them faster than finding the objects. Now we have all ten objects on the table, your parents will time you again. Grab the first item on the list. Time starts when your mom or dad says" go". Put one item away, come back to the table and get the next item. Time stops when you touch the kitchen table and all items are returned. Your parents can remind you which one is next and maybe give a few hints where you found the item. If you could please send me a video to my email of you telling me if you beat your time or not .What your times were? Can't wait to hear from you. Have fun with this.
