Week of October 19, 2026

Dear Parents,

This week we are finishing Unit 2 in Fundations.  There will be a test  Wednesday.  It is a 2 week unit with focus on bonus s, l, f (sometimes z) and glued sounds.  Page 37 will be in the blue studybook and gives examples.

In Religion, we are learning about the sacraments in general and will be starting Baptism.

Chapter 4 will be on Baptism.  Please feel free to send in pictures and memories from your child's baptism if you are willing.  It is always special to see photos, garments, candles, etc from their baptisms.   Thank you to those who have already sent them in.

Math is focusing on even/odd, skip counting, and arrays.  We are finishing up Topic 2.  Please help your child practice math facts for 5 min. each day or use an app or website for quick practice.

In Reading we are continuing to work on Informational Readings about Animals and their habitats.  We will be focusing on questioning, main idea, looking for details, and fluency.

Bake sale on Thursday and Friday.  $0.50
