Miss Sattele's First Grade

Hi everyone! I'm Miss Sattele and this is our first grade website. Click on the navigation bar up top to find more information about homework, specials, the school calendar, what we are learning, all about me, and my contact information.

Hello Incoming First Grade Families,

Welcome to first grade! My name is Miss Sattele. I will be your child’s teacher this year. We are going to have a wonderful school year together and learn a lot! Below are a few supplies you can get over the summer which will help us with all of our first grade learning.

First Grade Supply List for 2022-2023 School Year:

  • Backpack and lunch box (Please label each with your child's name.)

  • 12 #2 Pencils (No mechanical pencils please.)

  • Pencil case

  • 2 Folders (Please make sure the folders have 2 pockets inside. Your child may pick whatever color/school appropriate design they would like.)

  • Crayons (24 pack or less)

  • 2-3 glue sticks

  • 1 pair of scissors

  • 2 Expo white board markers

  • 2 sets of earbuds or headphones (Your child may pick whatever style is most comfortable for them. Please place them in a Ziploc bag labeled with your child's name. We will use one set in our classroom. The other will be used for library/technology class.)

Please clearly label all parts of your child's uniform with their initials (sweaters, gym sweatshirts/sweatpants, etc.). This helps keep uniforms from getting mixed up, especially since so many students are around the same size.

Class Stationary Fee

Our class stationary fee for the year is in the process of being finalized. Once the cost is finalized, I will let you know the fee. It will cover the cost of 3 Becker’s notebooks your child will use throughout the year as well as issues of Scholastic News for use in science and social studies. The fee will be paid through the FACTS program. Please do not send cash or checks in for the stationary fee.

Optional Donations

If you would like to donate any of the following items, it would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to bring these optional donations along with you on Back to School Night (date TBA) so your child does not have to transport them to school.

  • Tissues, paper towels, bleach wipes, hand sanitizer

If you have any questions or challenges getting the school supplies, please do not hesitate to contact me. As you prepare for the school year, please feel free to explore this class website. It can help you find out more about me and what first grade is like! Have a fun, relaxing, and safe summer! I cannot wait to meet everyone in the fall!

Thank you,

Jessica Sattele
