Project Overview

Capturing Kids' Hearts (CKH) is a vital part of the St. James Middle School culture. CKH helps teacher intentionally build strong relationships with students and create a welcoming environment. A key aspect of CKH is the EXCEL model. 

For the Spring 2025 semester of Teen Leadership 7th grade students were tasked with answering the question:

How does the EXCEL model impact student learning?

The projects on this site are student-created projects answering the question above. Students conducted their own research and learning communication skills from the District Communication Director Mrs. Beth Keyes.
