Class overview
Throughout the year we will be reading and responding to various novels as well as honing our writing skills throughout the year in personal narratives, informational writing and research writing.
6TH GRADE ELA
We are starting our new novel, "Among the Hidden."
We will continue reading and answering questions this week.
We are researching an inventor for our research paper.
7TH GRADE ELA
We are now reading, "Red Kayak." We will be completing pre-reading activities then read starting this week.
We are going to work on our argument paper this week.
8TH GRADE ELA
We are continuing with Fahrenheit 451-reading, discussing and answering questions.
In writing, we will continue to work on various projects.
7TH GRADE SCIENCE
We are learning how we impact the Earth and it's resources
BOOK REVIEW
ALL students will need to read 4 novels of his/her choice and complete a 3-4 paragraph review of the book. Each book must be 150+ pages and CANNOT be a graphic novel. The template for the review will be given to the students the first week of school.
ALL book reviews are due by MAY 1, 2026.
