Class overview
Throughout the year we will be reading and responding to various novels as well as honing our writing skills throughout the year in personal narratives, informational writing and research writing.
6TH GRADE ELA
We are starting our new reading series! This series is full of exerpts of longer stories, poems, etc. We will be incorporating writing along with the reading.
7TH GRADE ELA

STUDY HALL
Every student must have a novel to read for the first 15 minutes of Study Hall every Wednesday.
BOOK REPORTS
ALL students will need to read 4 novels of his/her choice and complete a 3-4 paragraph review of the book. Each book must be 150+ pages and CANNOT be a graphic novel. The template for the review will be given to the students the first week of school.
ALL book reviews are due by MAY 1, 2027.

Welcome back!!
We will be having a Washington DC meeting AFTER the Parent Night festivities! Parent night begins at 6 in the church. DC info will be right after the second session with teachers.
