Class overview
Throughout the year we will be reading and responding to various novels as well as honing our writing skills throughout the year in personal narratives, informational writing and research writing.
6TH GRADE ELA
We are starting our new novel, "Tuck Everlasting."
We will continue reading and answering questions this week.
7TH GRADE ELA
We have started our pre-reading activities for "Prince Caspian". We will start reading the book this week.
8TH GRADE ELA
We have started our WWll Literature Circles. We are reading, "The Boys in the Boat", "Unbroken", "Boy in the Striped Pajamas", and "Code Talkers".
7TH GRADE SCIENCE
We have started learning about the constellations and orbits of our solar system.
BOOK REVIEW
ALL students will need to read 4 novels of his/her choice and complete a 3-4 paragraph review of the book. Each book must be 150+ pages and CANNOT be a graphic novel. The template for the review will be given to the students the first week of school.
ALL book reviews are due by MAY 1, 2026.

Parent meeting! We will be having a parent meeting on Wednesday, April 15 at 6:00 in my room to talk about graduation activities: luncheon, dinner, Mass and after activities. Please make sure one parent from each student attends!
