About me: I was born in San Antonio, Texas and grew up in the Air Force. After many moves and multiple schools, I began attending James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia where I met my husband 41 years ago. I put school aside to marry him and then followed him from Virginia to Georgia, North Carolina, California, Illinois and finally (happily) landed in Bowling Green, Kentucky 23 years ago. Since we've been here, we've watched our children (Shannon, Emily and John) grow, graduate from St. Joseph, high school and college and marry and have children of their own.

I was also finally able to finish my degree in 2003 and began teaching at St. Joseph for 12 fabulous years. I took a three year leave of absence to help with a few grand-babies and was thrilled to get back in the classroom four years ago. My love of reading books and writing carried me through every new town and school in my life and led me to my degree in English and the Allied Language Arts.

When I'm not in the classroom I enjoy reading, hiking, sewing, hanging out at the lake, visiting my mom in San Antonio, and (most especially) spending time with my three children, their spouses and our grandchildren...we have seven! Two of them are in school here at St. Joseph.
