Welcome to SJS Grade 7 and 8 Spanish 21-22
Welcome (bienvenidos) to SJS grade 7 and 8 Spanish! My name is (Profe) John F. Fox. This is my 49th year as an educator/administrator in independent (private and parochial) schools. Originally from Olean, NY, I was educated at Archbishop Walsh HS (New York State Board of Regents Diploma), the University of St. Michael's College - University of Toronto (Honours B.A.) and the University of Kentucky ( M.A. and Ph.D.). After 25 years in Lexington, KY (The Lexington School), my wife (Catherine M. Fox) and son (John F. Fox, II) and I moved to Buffalo, NY (Nichols School). We then moved to McLean, VA (The Potomac School) during which time our son enrolled at Centre College. For our last stop, Cathy and I relocated to Worcester, MA (Worcester Academy). We returned to Kentucky in July 2018. I was initially a substitute teacher at St. Joseph School, Warren County Schools, and Bowling Green City Schools before joining the SJS family. I will be teaching a two-year Spanish class to seventh and eighth graders. Please see the Middle School Spanish tab for more details. I am pleased to mention that my family has many ties to SJS: my three grandchildren (Baker, Sadie, and Hazel) attend St. Joseph School, my daughter-in-law (Katie Williams Fox) works at the school, and my wife will continue to be a substitute teacher at SJS! I look forward to getting to know each child and feel privileged to work with our students and their families.
