The first world war ended 103 years ago, yet its impact on history can still be seen. It is often time in the shadow of its successor when it comes to its portrayal in media, however it was an equally bloody and tragic tale.

Purpose
The reason I have researched the first world war is because its aftermath's effects can be seen in the modern day. By understanding what caused this great conflict we can hopefully prevent another of its kind from happening ever again.
