Dogs have become loved members of our families. We feed them, take them to the doctor, and love them. They have been in our homes for generations. However, you may not know the long history of this relationship between humans and dogs.
My topic is about whether dogs really are our best friends. I will research the domestication of dogs and the relationship between humans and dogs.
The dates that my topic covers is from approximately 11,000 years ago to today.
Learning about historical events helps shape the future because we learn from past mistakes. We also learn how to make our world better by improving upon past societies. Lastly, we can build upon past inventions and governments to make our future better.
Some major themes that I will discover are the domestication of dogs and their history throughout time. Also, I will discover the long relationship between humans and dogs.
My purpose for researching this topic is because I just became a new pet owner and I want to learn more about human relationships that are shared with our canine companions.
