The Dust Bowl

My project is about the Dust Bowl that struck the American plains during the 1930s. The project covers from the time the Dust Bowl started in 1931 to the time when the rain fell again, ending. the Dust Bowl in 1939. Learning about the Dust Bowl and the events that led to it can help shape the future because knowing what caused the Dust Bowl and what helped mitigate the problem can help avoid another ecological disaster like the Dust Bowl again. Some major social themes I discovered while researching the Dust Bowl were poverty, migration, drought, and famine. My purpose for researching this topic was to discover not only what the Dust Bowl was and when it occurred but also the effects it had on the people in the plains and the national economy, and how people and the government responded to the Dust Bowl.
