Library Visits
All K-5 students will visit the library once a week for literacy lessons, read alouds, quiet reading time, and book check out. Junior High students will come with their Language Arts class or individually as needed.
Books
Kindergarten students may check out 1 book each week, while 1st-8th graders may check out 2 books. Books are checked out for 1 week and may be renewed. Books in high demand will be renewed at the discretion of the librarians.
Overdue Books
We do not charge overdue fines, but we will send out occasional notices of overdue items. If a student has a number of overdue items, we ask they be returned before new items are checked out.
Damaged or Lost Books
Students who return books that have been damaged beyond repair or lost while in their possession will be charged the cost of replacement. Any items not returned at the end of the school year will be charged through our FACTS system. We will send notices and reminders towards the end of the year to ensure all books are returned before any charges are made.
Donations
Donations to the library collection are encouraged and welcome at any time. However, it will be up to the librarians to determine the appropriateness of the material to the media collection. Books that are not deemed beneficial to the collection will be donated elsewhere.
