The Golden Tree of Life is also referred to as the sacred, mythical golden tree. The Golden Tree of Life is just a basic tree but it represents a lot to the Egyptians. It starts of with the trunk of a typical tree, then moves up into the leaves where it is painted yellow (representing gold). The tree can be any size, but the orginal is approximately 22' tall.
The Tree of Life is connected with a creation of a myth (Bennu Bird and Djed) and the 9 gods of Heliopolis (Ancient Egypt). This artifact was used to worship the gods and to thank them for all the gifts they have given Egyptians. (Food, Water, Fire, Beautiful Lands, etc.) They want to remind themselves what eternal nature is and what are the benefits of it. The Tree of Life symbolizes knowledge of the Divine Plan or simplified to the Map of Destiny.
Explain what this artifact was for, how it was used, who used it, etc.
The Golden Tree of Life
The Egyptians value personal stability so they want to make it clear that the Egyptian gods are important and they should be respected with your whole heart and soul. The Egyptians believed that the phenomena of nature were divine forces. They have painted a plethora of different arts regarding nature. Egyptians have polytheistic beliefs meaning they worship more than 1 god, which has influenced many of the Egyptian paintings. Paintings are a way to express their respect to the gods as they dedicate hard work and time into an art piece.
