Arc’s Value Village thrift stores are a revenue generating & public awareness vehicle for The Arc Minnesota, a statewide nonprofit organization that works to promote and protect the human rights of people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc helps people navigate systems while working to advance social change centered in justice, equity and belonging in community.
We have locations in Bloomington, New Hope and Richfield and accept individual and group volunteers. Volunteer shifts are only 2 hours in length, are available daily and can be completed anytime between the hours of 10am – 6pm.
Typical volunteer tasks include:
· Stocking clothing/household items on sales floor
· Organizing/sizing/colorizing clothing on sales floor
· Unpacking/hanging clothing
· Assisting with donation retrieval
Arc’s Value Village welcomes volunteers ages 8 years and older; youth aged 8 to 15 must be accompanied by a parent/adult at a ratio of 6 youths to 1 adult. This is for the safety of all.
