Battery - A combination of two or more cells electrically connected to work together to produce electrical energy.
Circuit - An electrical system that provides a path for electrical current to flow.
Electricity - Energy made available by the flow of electrical charge through a conductor
Current - The flow of electricity.
Electrons - A negatively charged component of an atom. Electrons exist outside of and surrounding the atoms nucleus.
Compass - A navigational instrument for determining direction relative to the Earth's magnetic poles.
Magnet - A piece of iron, nickel, cobalt, or steel that produces a magnetic field.
Electromagnet - A temporary magnet made by coiling wire around an iron core. When current flows in the coil the iron becomes a magnet.
Attract - When two or more magnetic materials are pulled towards each other due to the forces between opposing poles.
Repel - When two or more magnetic materials are pushed away from each other due to the forces between similar poles.
