Germination: The process whereby seeds sprout and begin to grow.
Pollination: Transfer of pollen from the anther (male) to the stigma (female) parts of a plant.
Fertilisation: The physical joining of male (sperm) and female (ova or ovule) gametes.
Flower: The seed generating part of a plant, consisting of reproductive organs that are typically surrounded by a coloured petals.
Seed: A flowering plant's unit of reproduction, capable of developing into another plant.
Fruit: The sweet and fleshy product of plants that contain seeds and can be eaten as food.
