I believe in taking a holistic and constructivist approach to education, where knowledge and skills acquired cannot be separated from leaners’ attitudes and values. This belief guides me as a science teacher who appreciates students’ individual identities and needs; devoting time to develop learning opportunities that are meaningful and inspiring to students and can fulfil their learning and development potentials.
To instil in students a high degree of scientific literacy, while opening their eyes to the sciences that surround them in everyday life. To prepare students to become well-rounded and productive citizens who are capable of making informed decisions both scientifically and ethically, and to provide students with a sound foundation with which to pursue a career in science or engineering.
