Welcome! This website is a growing collection of resources to support students preparing for the NZQA Scholarship Physics.
The topic-based collection of worked Scholarship questions has largely grown out of discussions with my students during our Scholarship sessions. The solutions are designed not only to model how students can answer examination questions, but also to demonstrate the reasoning, scientific communication, and problem-solving skills expected at the Scholarship level.
The questions are organised into Mechanics, Waves, Electromagnetism, and Modern Physics, making it easy to explore related concepts across different examination years.
This project is both a teaching resource and part of my ongoing professional learning. I hope these resources help you deepen your understanding of physics, develop greater confidence in tackling challenging problems, and enjoy the journey towards NZQA Scholarship Physics.
Kia ora, I'm Sam Tsai, a Physics teacher in New Zealand, currently teaching at St. John's College. I am passionate about helping students develop deep conceptual understanding and confident problem-solving skills.
I created this website to share worked Scholarship Physics solutions while continuing to deepen my own understanding as both a teacher and a physicist.
I believe that meaningful learning comes from curiosity, persistence, and thoughtful reflection. I hope these resources help you build confidence, deepen your understanding of physics, and enjoy the challenge of Scholarship Physics.
