Homework Connection

Need extra help with homework? Stay after school from 3-4pm for Homework Connection! Beginning September 15th, parents may sign students up to complete their homework with the support of a teacher. The cost is $15 per session and includes a snack. More information is available online. The sign up form is coming soon!

Back-to-School Nights - We hold two Back-to-School Nights, the first is for parents of students in Grades 1-5 and the second is for parents of students in Grades 6-8. These are super informative nights that allow you to get to know your child's teacher and their expectations for the year. We hope to see you all there! Pre-K and Kindergarten have already had theirs.

Wednesday, September 9th- Elementary Back-to-School Night (Gr 1-5) at 6pm

• The night will begin at 6pm in your child's homeroom. There will be a schedule on their desk for you to follow.

NEW! Hot Lunch Ordering

It's time to order Hot Lunch for the first trimester! This year we are using a NEW platform called Boonli. All families who plan to order Hot Lunch will need to create a new account here using our school's code SJSF1. After creating a Parent Account, you will be prompted to create "Other User Profiles". Create one per SJS student that you will be ordering for. Please note that orders apply to all days within that ordering period. For example, if you order one slice of cheese pizza from Dominick's, you are ordering it for every Tuesday in T1 during the ordering period (9/28-11/19). Use these step-by-step instructions to make ordering a breeze! Ordering will be open through Friday, September 11th. The first day of Hot Lunch for T1 is Monday, September 28th. This year's schedule is as follows:

• Mondays- Dominick's Sandwiches

• Tuesdays- Dominick's Pizza

• Wednesdays- Subway

• Thursday- Chick-fil-A

First Spirit Wear Day

Once a month throughout the year, we host Spirit Wear Days. Students are welcome to wear items purchased from our Spirit Wear Store in lieu of that day's uniform. Items can be ordered online throughout the year. Our first Spirit Wear Day of the school year is Tuesday, 9/22. Be ready! Please note the guidelines listed as not all items are permitted to be worn. Snapology

Session #1 of Snapology will open for registration next week on September 9th. Snaplogy is a STEAM Club open to students in Grades 1-3. It's held on Tuesdays after school from 3-4pm in the Multimedia Center. Session #1 will run from 9/29-11/17. Due to limited space, registration is first come, first served.

All Religion tests are OPEN BOOK and we do the Chapter Review Test at the end of the Chapter together and they can use that as a resource during the test also.

Spelling Test on Unit 1-Friday, 9/11

Access to PowerSchool, which provides parents with online access for grades for their children in Grades 3-8, is now OPEN. For new students to SJS, as well as all 3rd graders, information regarding access has been sent home. Please allow time for grades to be entered and for you to get used to the new weighting system. Directions and an online training module can be found HERE. Parents can download the PowerSchool Mobile app. If requested, our District Code is PJQM (all caps).
