THE 50 HEARTS REPRESENT THE PEOPLE WHO DIED ON FRIDAY 15TH MARCH.
The Easter candle is lit at every celebration of the Eucharist during the fifty days of the Easter season from Easter Sunday until Pentecost Sunday.
The five grains of incense on the Easter candle represent the five deep wounds of Jesus Christ.
The Alpha and Omega symbols are the first and last letters of the greek alphabet. They remind people that the risen Jesus is the beginning and the end of all time and that all praise belongs to him forever.
The light reminds people of the risen christ who is the light of the world.

We are learning to sketch St Joseph's Cathedral.
Is another spectacular Gothic Revival landmark in the northern suburb of City Rise. The facade features pinnacles with crockets plus lacelike ornamentation around a rose and elegant lancet stained-glass windows. They are offset by contrasting Water of Leith bluestone and Oamaru limestone. This Roman Catholic church opened in 1886. The original design by Francis Petre envisioned a 200 foot central spire.
