Welcome to Mrs. Porter's website! I am thrilled to be able to offer improved access to resources and classroom lessons through this site. In partnership with teachers and parents, I strive to implement a comprehensive program to address the academic, social, emotional, and personal needs of every student in the school. My interventions and supports vary depending on the age, development, individual needs and interests of each student. I assist students with problem-solving, social skills, self-esteem, anxiety, coping skills, and many other identified needs.

I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. I attended St. Mark's Elementary and Bishop Kelly High School. I received my undergraduate degree at University of Idaho in 1995 and my Master's of Social Work at Boise State University in 2014.

I started working at St. Joseph's Catholic School in 2016 as a school counselor and will be joining St. Ignatius this fall. I am blessed beyond measure to work with extraordinary faculty, incredible kids and amazing families!
