We had a great first week of school! It was a wonderful week of getting to know one another, building our classroom community, and learning what it means to be a 4th grader.
This week, we:
Learned about our school and classroom routines and expectations.
Worked together to create our classroom mission statement and talked about the kind of classroom community we want to build together.
Learned about our classroom patron saint, St. Carlo Acutis, and how he used his gifts to love God and serve others.
Reviewed important 3rd-grade math concepts to prepare us for 4th-grade math.
Learned about place value through the millions place.
Learned about perseverance and discussed how we can continue to persevere when 4th-grade work becomes challenging.
It was a wonderful start to our school year, and I am so proud of the students for their hard work, positive attitudes, and willingness to learn. I am excited for all the learning, growth, and fun that this year will bring!
Birthday Celebrations:
We have 21 students in our classroom. Cupcakes are preferred for each student.
