Hey 8th graders! The high school placement test is coming up on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, and this page is here to help you get ready. Don’t worry—this test isn’t about passing or failing. It’s just a way to make sure you get placed in the classes that are right for you when you start high school.

What’s on the Test?
The placement test will cover the following areas:
Verbal Skills – Understanding and using words, sentence completion, and vocabulary.
Quantitative Skills – Number sense, basic algebra, and problem-solving.
Reading – Comprehension of passages and answering questions.
Mathematics – Fractions, decimals, geometry, and other middle school math topics.
Language – Grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and writing clarity.
The test may include multiple-choice questions, short answers, or small writing assignments.
Study Tips & Strategies
Break it up: Study a little each day instead of cramming the night before.
Highlight key info: Use notes, flashcards, or highlighters to mark important points.
