Updated Directions for Science test corrections:  

Corrections will be completed in Room 9 either during class time or recess. Time is subject to teacher's discretion. 

Please do your assessment corrections on loose leaf paper (not the back of a random worksheet or printer paper).

• Number your correction using the number on the assessment. 

• Write out the question and the correct answer. (not the letter, the whole answer).

• Notations will be made in the comment section of Gradebook regarding corrections offered, completed, and the original grade.

1.  Study all of your noun notes.  There will be a test Friday

(nouns as subjects, direct objects, indirect objects, objects of a preposition, subject complements).

Remember: you will also have to decide if the verb is an action verb or a linking verb. 

2. Complete the label sentences for Monday.

3. Spelling: complete a Tic Tac Toe choice from your board. If you cannot find it, one is in Google Classroom. Spelling Test on Friday.

•  review all of the pages in your workbook pages packet that we went over today. 

• go back to you note packet I gave you several weeks ago and make the connections to mixtures and solutions. 

• We will finish the last few pages tomorrow. 

• Tell someone how a solution is a mixture, but not all mixtures are solutions.  Can you explain it?

6th

• Read something you enjoy for at least 20 minutes--build up your reading STAMINA ; )

•  Grammar: 

Study all noun notes.

Complete page 9 # 1-10--watch out, you need to find the SUBJECT also--use your notes.

Science:

• Read the bottom of page 53 and all of 54. 

• Answer question 13

• Review the pages from the lesson--you can also use your note packet you received this afternoon. 

• Try to explain the new Water Cycle terms we learned to someone. Mention thermal and or kinetic energy of the water particles (molecules).

• Read/review the note packet for plants as organisms. 

• Try to explain something about plants to a person at home  

8th:

• Study all of Lesson 1 notes. Can you explain to someone how the particles in solids, liquids, and gases change--and why?

Science:  

• Review all of Lesson 2 (Circulation in Earth's Oceans) covered so far.

• Know the definitions

• review pages 33 and 34 (especially # 15 )

•  Study lessons 1 and 2--concepts and vocabulary.  Check you notebook for topics.

• Review the Unit Review, use both sets of notes and Classwork/quiz worksheets.

• Using today's notes, complete the workbook page handout. #'s 9 and 11.
