Doune Primary School

A very warm welcome to our new website from all at Doune Nursery and Primary. As you look through our site, you will see how we strive to achieve our aims and fulfil our values in all that we do. The video link below describes the curriculum rationale and values at Doune and how these bridge between nursery and primary. We hope you enjoy visiting our site and sharing our learning journey.

Andrew Clark (Headteacher)

A little about the school itself; Doune Primary is a co-educational, non-denominational school with nursery for children from 2 to 12 years of age. The school occupies a picturesque site enjoying views across fields and woodland towards Doune Castle.

The nursery is situated within the grounds and is an extended day, extended year provision for children aged 2 to 5 years, open from 8:00am until 6:00pm, 45.6 weeks of the year. Core sessions are 8am to 1pm and 1pm to 6pm. Our staff team are committed to providing safe, responsive and inspiring learning both indoors and outdoors which supports the future generation.

Doune Primary is a single-storey building with eight classrooms, open learning areas, PE facilities indoors and out and even a “kids’ kitchen”. The grounds include play equipment, a fitness gym and trim trail, a wildlife garden with pond, three asphalt play areas and a 1.5 acre playing field.
