You should have received an invite to join August 2021 P1 Class on Dojo. Multiple parents/carers can be added for the one child. If you need any assistance please let Miss McPherson know.
This is the main way the school communicates and we would encourage you to install this app prior to your child starting school.

Our uniform consists of a red school jumper/cardigan, white polo shirt or blouse/shirt and grey or black skirt/pinafore/trousers/shorts. Summer dresses can also be worn. Children will also require P.E. kit consisting of shorts, t-shirt and indoor trainers. Uniform can be purchased from our supplier by clicking the icon or is available from many local shops and supermarkets. You may be entitled to support with the cost of uniform - see below.
P1-3 children are offered a free school lunch. Children also have the option to bring their own packed lunch or go home for lunch. We are a nut free school so we ask that you are conscious of this when providing your child with a lunch or snack - this includes no Nutella or equivalent spread.
You can access the menu by clicking on the image above.
Our children are supervised outside in the playground by our support for learning assistants (SLAs). The children have time outside at morning interval and after they have eaten their lunch. Our P1 playground is completely enclosed and has lots of fun learning opportunities including loose parts, quiet areas, mud kitchens and sports equipment.
At times, P1 children will also get to enjoy exploring the wider playground with their class teacher.
Jumping in puddles is something we love to do in P1. We recognise the benefit of getting outside in the fresh air and know that there is no such thing as bad weather when you have the correct clothing ! We have waterproof trousers and jackets for all our P1 children and therefore you do not need to provide waterproofs however we do ask if possible if you could provide your child with a pair of wellies that can be kept in school. We have some spare wellies and are always happy to accept donations of wellies which no longer fit.
