Vice President - Partner in Crime

So you’d like to get more involved in the school parent group, but you’re not sure you’re ready to take the lead role? Our vice president position has your name written all over it! You’ll learn behind-the-scenes intel and be part of decision making on important issues thought-out the year. You’ll help the president get things done - kind of like a superhero’s sidekick, but without the silly costume.

Are you a creative problem-solver who loves collaborating in decision making?

What would you do?  Help with the day-to-day operations of the PTA including problem-solving and assisting the President in reaching the PTA’s goals.

What is the commitment?  1-3 hours per week

How would you contribute?  Help lead in creating the vision for the PTA and preside as President in their absence.

Communications – Info “Sharer”

“I never know what’s going on at school” - not on my watch! So much to keep up with: School calendars, events, newsletters, keeping parents informed, reminders more reminders - you are the link connecting everyone. Are you a website social media whiz (or not), always looking for ways to jazz up a blog and make new cool again? We would love more Likes and Followers! We could use your help managing the website and social media outlets to help parents and students stay informed while creating a buzz of all things cool about school. Emails, posts, newsletters - OH MY!

Do you like being in the know and sharing info on others?

What would you do?  Updating content on the SMS PTA website, Facebook Page & newsletter posts.

What is the commitment?  1-3 hours per week

How would you contribute?  Promoting PTA events and share information to help the PTA’s goals.
