Hello! My Name is Rachel May and I am the Substance Abuse Counselor for Stillwater School District.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have worked in the mental health field for 17 years. I have training in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy, and additional interventions to help students and families in a time of need.
I love spending time with my family; including my husband, son age 20 and daughter age 7. To relax and reboot, I enjoy being outdoors, watching sports, and going thrift store shopping.
As the Substance Abuse Counselor, I work at the Middle School, Junior High, High School, and Lincoln Academy. I also provide support district wide. My office is located at the Junior High. If there is anything I can do to help, please feel free to reach out.

Students: There are a few ways I get connected with students to provide services. Students can refer themselves to visit with me, Parents/Guardians can request I meet with a student/family, or School Administration/Counselors refer students.
Classes: I work with school sites to coordinate and provide prevention and education opportunities for students and teachers on how to make good choices, be drug free, and stay safe.
Parents: I am a resource for parents that may have concerns or questions regarding their child/teen and drug use.
Teachers/Staff: I am a resource for teachers who may have concerns about a student and I can also provide teacher/staff education on relevant topics/trends.
