Mr. Zimmerman is entering his fifth year as a school counselor in Stillwater Public Schools! He previously taught 6th grade math at Stillwater Middle School and 7th grade math, 8th grade Pre-Algebra, and Algebra 1 at Harrah Middle School for 9 years. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education in 2010. Mrs. Sexton is starting her tenth year as a school counselor for Stillwater Public Schools. Mrs. Sexton moved to Stillwater in 2011 to complete a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and master’s degree at Oklahoma State University in School Counseling. Mrs. Sexton and her family call Stillwater home! She enjoys anything outdoors, but especially loves fishing with her husband and son. Mrs. Rieff is excited to be part of the counseling team at Stillwater Middle School! She was a school counselor for 23 years with Bentonville Schools in Arkansas working in both junior high and high school. Mrs. Rieff holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas in Family & Consumer Science and a masters degree in school counseling from John Brown University. Mrs. Rieff enjoys spending time with her family, specifically her grandchildren! She and her husband enjoy working with youth involved in livestock shows. Mrs. May is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has worked in the mental health field for 15 years. She has training in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy, and additional interventions to help students and families in a time of need. She loves spending time with my family; including her husband, son age 20 and daughter age 6. They moved to Stillwater in August 2020, and are excited to be Pioneers. Stillwater has always been close to her heart, as an OSU graduate and fan, Go Pokes! To relax and reboot, she enjoys being outdoors, watching sports, and going thrift store shopping. As the Substance Abuse Counselor, she primarily works at the Middle School, Junior High, and High School, but can provide support district wide. Ms. Brunken is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has worked in the mental health field since 2005. She is in her 10th year working for SPS and absolutely loves her job! Ms. Brunken enjoys helping our students and staff overcome the challenges that they face each day as well as the relationships that are built in the process. As a district counselor she serves Highland Park, Stillwater Middle School, Stillwater Jr High, Stillwater High School, Lincoln Academy and Stillwater Pioneer Virtual Academy. Mrs. Chandler has been a volunteer at Stillwater Public Schools for the last 10 years and mom to 3 SPS students for several more. After being at stay-at-home parent for many years she started at Stillwater Middle School as a receptionist for the '23-'24 school year. She has loved getting to know the students and is looking forward to helping in the counseling office. When not at work or shuttling her kids around she enjoys crafting, reading, playing games, and spending as much time in Colorado as possible.
