This will be my fourth year teaching 5th grade, at Sangre Ridge. Before I was a classroom teacher, I worked as a Special Education TA, here at Sangre, for 5 years. My daughter, Ava, is 6 years old, and will be in 1st grade this year. We are super competitive, and we love sports! I'm a softball player at heart, but I also love football (GO POKES!), soccer, basketball, cheer... basically any sport! It's been said that I'm a little obsessed with stars, and I've been known to break out in song, in the middle of class.

Teaching makes me happy, and I believe part of my job is to help teach my students to be good human beings. We focus a lot on kindness in my classroom. I also remind my students daily that mistakes are okay, as long as you learn from them. My favorite saying is "Make today amazing!" and we will try to do that every single day.

I will be teaching Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies this year, and Ms. Sinclair will be teaching Science and Math. I think you will find that we have very similar teaching styles, which is why we make a great team!
