Mrs. Siedt

Hello! My name is Mrs. Siedt and I am so excited to teach second grade again this year at St. Gregory. I am looking forward to the sacraments, growing closer together in faith and utilizing our faith to strengthen the learning environment around us.

About Me

I grew up in Wexford and like my students, attended Catholic school. I went to St. Teresa of Avila for grade school and Oakland Catholic for high school. For college, I moved to Baltimore to attend Loyola University Maryland, a Jesuit institution, where I studied Elementary Education and Special Education. I graduated with a stronger faith and broader knowledge base leaving me enthusiastic to shape the minds of the youth. I chose to remain in Baltimore for one year to teach fifth grade math, social studies and science. I then decided to move back home to Pittsburgh and have been a part of the St. Gregory community now for five years. In May of 2021, I graduated from Duquesne University with a masters degree in Reading and Literacy Education and am now a certified Reading Specialist.

Second grade is an important year for the sacraments and I am ready to share my faith and love for God with these children. I am looking forward to meeting my students and their families, and growing together in faith in this wonderful environment.
