Mrs. Gaviña is excited to join the St. Gregory family this year as a 6-7-8 ELA teacher. This is her 28th year as an educator. She looks forward to meeting the STG students and families.

Mrs. Gaviña earned her Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and her Master's in Education from Northern Arizona University. She taught in the Isaac and Phoenix Elementary School Districts for 27 years. She has worked with grades K-3 and 5-8. She also served as a librarian in the Isaac District for eight years. Her most recent position was teaching 6th grade Math and Social Studies.

Mrs. Gaviña's family joined the St. Gregory Parish in 2010. When her sons completed their first Eucharist and Confirmation classes in 2013, Mrs. Gaviña was called to volunteer as a Catechist for the Religious Education program. She considers herself very blessed to be able to continue her teaching career at STG.
