Ms. Gallas

I teach science to 6th (Earth Science), 7th (Biology), and 8th (Chemistry) at St. Gregory’s. As a tree hugger and lifelong lover of learning, teaching science gives me the opportunity to continue to learn and teach the things I love.

I have been in Arizona since 1973 attending Catholic Elementary School. I was raised by parents who worked hard to give their children the gift of Catholic education. I enjoy living in the Sierra Sonoran Desert and spend a lot of time outdoors. I have 2 grown children who have also attended Catholic School. In my spare time I sing and cantor, and lectors at church. I am an avid hiker, kayaker, and backpacker-conquering the Grand Canyon 7 times. I recently became a grandmother and I hope to share my love of the outdoors with my grandson!

I have worked many years in business management and earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Ottawa University graduating Cum Laude in 2006. In 2018, I earned my Masters degree in Education. I am highly qualified in middle school science and use a “hands on” approach to teaching. I taught in both public and Catholic schools. I love the ability to share my faith with young Catholics. I am very excited about our junior high team at St Gregory’s.
