Library/Tech
My role at St. Gerald has changed and evolved over the years, mostly due to the additions of technology that have come to the school. I currently facilitate learning in the library and very much enjoy getting to know each and every student that comes through the doors of St Gerald. One of my greatest joys is being a lifelong learner - I hope to share this joy with each of your children.

Language Arts
As soon as I learned to read, I was in love! Fueled by my own passion for literature, I encourage my students to read widely and often. My approach to teaching involves interactive discussions and exercises in reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary and allows students to explore the deeper meaning of texts. I hold my students to high standards, but I also make sure to have proper supports in place for them to obtain success. Together, we cultivate a dynamic learning environment.

Religion
This is my first year teaching Religion at St. Gerald. I have taught for many years and have retired from a middle school in Edinburg, Texas. It's great to be back in a classroom setting again.

Social Studies
Hello, I have been the middle school Social Studies teacher at St. Gerald since 2015. My subjects include ancient civilizations, world geography, and American history. Previously, I taught at Red Cloud Indian School on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. As a former student of St. Gerald, I am blessed to be a part of this wonderful faith and academic community.

Science
I began teaching Science at St. Gerald Catholic School in 2001, beginning with 6th grade and transitioning to the middle school. My goal is to have my students be as passionate about Science as I am and instill in them how to think like a scientist. What I find extremely rewarding is to watch former students go on to have successful careers in Science.

Math
I have been blessed to be at St. Gerald Catholic School since 2021. The curriculum I teach ranges from 6th grade math all the way to freshman level Algebra 1. I am so happy that I get to prepare the students for whatever math challenges may face them in the future.
Mrs. Buechler MS
Curriculum Interventionist
I started my journey at St. Gerald as a student and then as a teacher for 32 years. I retired and now I am back! I enjoyed helping the younger students begin their school journey, and now I am enjoying the older kids with developing skills to help them succeed in high school. From time management to Executive Functioning Skills and encouraging them to challenge themselves in IXL, I am blessed to continue my journey at St. Gerald.
