Class Policy

Classroom Rules for Students:

1. Listen to and follow directions. (written and oral directions, dress codes, lessons, playground rules, handbook regulations, etc.)

2. Keep your area clean and neat. (desk, floor, closet, books, etc; no doodling in books; no writing on self)

3. Be cooperative and polite. (pay attention, show self control, keep hands and things to yourself, raise your hand to answer, be a good listener, etc.)

4. Be prepared for class. (have assignments, supplies, tests, papers, forms, etc.)

5. Respect others and those in charge. (teachers, students, lunch parents, safeties, bus drivers, etc.)

• Students will write their daily homework in their HOMEWORK BOOKS. These HW BOOKS will need to be signed by a parent each day.

• Homework (Religion, Math, Reading, Spelling, Grammar, Science, Social Studies): Students start out each trimester with 100 points. Then 5 points are subtracted for each homework assignment not completed. For example, if a student is missing 3 homework assignments in a trimester, the student's homework grade for that particular subject will be an 85.

• We use GOOGLE CLASSROOM for some assignments. 

• Students should read over all science and social studies study guides and vocabulary each night before going to bed.

• Students should be reading 15 minutes per day as part of their daily homework.

• Students should study spelling words for each week's lesson.

• Students may take home any books at any time to review, practice, or study skills and lessons taught in class.

• Students who leave the classroom or miss class for extra support, illnesses, vacations, etc. are responsible for any missed assignments. Parents are to make sure assignments are completed correctly.

• Please know that ALL school volunteers (lunch parents, volunteers, homeroom parents, class trip parents, etc.) need to have their clearances. 

• Please be aware that the grades online are NOT report grades yet. They are only the grades that have been entered thus far. These grades are and will be constantly updated on a weekly basis. All grades online will not be complete until the trimester ends. Grades are weighted.
