Parents of newborns and expectant parents must attend a Baptism Preparation Class, submit the required paperwork, and meet with the pastor to schedule Baptism.
Older children must be enrolled in the Faith Formation Program and may be required to participate in the Order of Christian Initiation for Children
Adults looking to be Baptized and/or become Catholic will need to enroll in the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults
Regular reception of Holy Communion is essential for all Catholics.Â
The first reception of Holy Communion is included in all Faith Formation programs. Individuals looking to receive the Eucharist must have participated in one of the available programs
The Sacrament of Confirmation, the completion of the Sacrament of Baptism, is included in the Faith Formation program for the children of the parish
Adults looking to be Confirmed and/or join the Catholic Church must participate in the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults
Regular participation in the Sacrament of Penance is essential for Catholics
Reconciliation is available Saturdays at 4:00 pm and by appointment
The first encounter with the Sacrament of Reconciliation is included in the Faith Formation programs
Resources to make your next Confession better than your last are available upon request
The celebration of this Sacrament asks for Divine Protection and Healing for the individual that is anointed
Any Catholic who has a chronic condition, is hospitalized, or is to undergo a significant treatment procedure can request the anointing
Any non-Catholic Christian who meets the same conditions can request to be prayed for or receive a blessing
Parishioners and family members looking to celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony at St. Francis de Sales must begin the preparation process not less than six(6) months before their preferred wedding date
