Write a short or long poem about growing seeds. This is a fun activity for you to really showcase some specific language choices to engage your audience. Remember a poem does not have to rhyme. please stay away from acrostic poems they are not appropriate for this.
Start with brainstorming or coming up with a word bank of words to use in your poem.
Think about the poem type you are using - haiku, rhymed poetry, free verse (not rhyming) but rhythmical
Think of some language features you may want to use - repetition, rhyme, simile, metaphor, onomatopoeia, hyperbole
Craft your poem and then look back at your planning to see if it meets the needs of the goal.
Make your poem more appealing by presenting it on a google drawing with visual aides or on canva or even make a short video of you speaking your poem aloud.

We have read about and discussed a lot around carbon footprints over the last few weeks. We have learned about carbon emissions, carbon offsets and even carbon credits. Use your knowledge about carbon emissions and persuade me/a reader to change their habits to a more environmentally friendly lifestyle choices.
You must have an introduction speaking of your intent to persuade
Pick 3 things that you could change in your life to lower your carbon emissions - use your template from last weeks reading task as a starting point
For each reason state 3 points to back this up and persuade the reader to change their stance and habits
Touch on why it is important to make a change and why this is important for our planet and our future
Finish with a conclusion that summarises your points.
