SPRING 2019 COHORT Start

Cohort Plan - updated APRIL 27, 2020*
*Please note cohort plan is subject to change. Every attempt will be made to update this schedule as changes are made.
Dates and schedule depend on the availability of instructors – dates will stay the same, course sequence MAY change.
Twelve (12) registered participants are needed per course one month before the start date of the course in offer to offer it blended. Otherwise it will be offered online at the cohort rate. Blended courses include 3 face to face meetings and 5 online weeks.

Spring 2019

REND 641 Foundations of Literacy (3 credit hours)

March 11 - May 3, 2019This course will meet face-to-face on 3/13, 4/3, and 5/1 from 4:30-8:30 p.m.


Summer 2019

REND 689 Disciplinary Literacy (3 credit hours)

May 13 - July 8, 2019This course will meet face-to-face on 5/15 from 4:30-8:30 p.m. and on 6/5 & 6/26 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

REND 642 Assessment Procedures and Data Analysis for Student Achievement (3 credit hours)

June 3 - July 29, 2019This course will be entirely online


Fall 2019

REND 644 Utilizing Literature in the Classroom (3 credit hours)

August 19 - October 14, 2019This course will meet face-to-face on 8/21, 9/11, 10/2 from 4:30-8:30 p.m.

REND 647 Literacy and Diverse Learners (3 credit hours)

October 14 - December 9, 2019This course has been changed to entirely online.


Spring 2020

REND 643 Exploration of Literacy Strategies and Materials for Student Achievement (3 credit hours)

January 13 - March 9, 2019This course will be entirely online

REND 651 Reading Teacher Practicum (3 credit hours)

March 2 - April 27, 2019This course will be entirely online.

Course starts May 18 - June 15, 2020 -- THIS IS A NEW OPTION FOR THIS COURSEVirtual face-to-face meetings on 5/20 & 5/27 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. and 6/9 & 6/11 from 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. with additional requirements completed online.
