Q: Is this a mandatory fundraiser?
A: This event is one of the three mandatory fundraisers for participating SFB families. Attendance for 2 or a buyout are mandatory. (The other mandatory fundraisers are the Walk-a-thon and the Annual Appeal).
Q. Will the funds raised go towards St. Finn Barr school only? Or will the church also receive funds?
A. Proceeds of the Gala will go solely to the school.
Q. Hosted Parties - How do they work?
A. Donate your time, talents, and expertise by hosting a party, experience, or class! Raise funds for SFB while building connections within our parent community. Host(s) cover party expenses and all funds raised go toward St. FInn Barr School.
Q. How do I donate an item for the auction and giveaways?
A: Complete this form by March 15, 2023. Our committee will contact you regarding your donation. Thanks in advance!
Q: I’m excited! When can I shop the online auction? Where do I access it?
A: The online Auction will go live on Friday March 31st. Stay tuned for more information.
Q: Do I have to be present to win?
A: You do not have to be present to enter or win the online auction and giveaways. You do have to be present to enter the live auction and live giveaways.
Q: How does the casino work?
A: Each guest will receive $50 Funny Money (equivalent of $5) at gala entry. Funny money can be redeemed for chips with the dealer. Play with more $$! Purchase your Funny Money at the check in table. $10 = $100 Funny Money / $50 = $500 Funny Money / $100 = $1,000 Funny Money. Redeem Chips for giveaway tickets. $100 = 1 giveaway ticket. Choose from over 20 giveaways to enter!
Q: Can we invite friends to the Gala?
A: Yes, please extend invites to friends and family! Alumni, prospective SFB families and teachers are welcome. Based on popularity of the event, limited quantities will be available to non-parents/guardians of students.
Q: What is the dress code?
A: We want everyone to feel comfortable. Anything from casual to black tie. Dust off your cocktail dresses, tuxedos or fanciest jeans. We just want to see your smiling faces!
Q: Where is the event?
A: The event will be held on the Archbishop Riordan High School Campus: 175 Frida Kahlo Way, San Francisco, CA 94112, in the cafeteria and the adjacent courtyard. Please enter through the main entrance and enter through the cafeteria doors on the right.
Q: Where do we park?
A: Parking for this event will be street parking only. We encourage attendees to use ride sharing services. The parking lot adjacent to Archbishop Riordan High School is closed.
Q: Do I need to bring cash to the event?
A: We will have a limited number of square credit card readers for getting casino chips and checking out. Cash will be helpful but not necessary.
Q: Will there be food?
A: Your event ticket will provide for appetizers/hors d'oeuvres. Check back soon for menu!
Q: What kind of drinks will be served?
A: There will be a selection of spirits and non-alcoholic beverages as well as tea and coffee. Stay tuned for our signature cocktails!
Q: Can children attend?
A: This is an adults-only event. Must be 21 years of age to attend. (ID’s will be checked.)
Q: Will there be seating at the Gala?
A: In the spirit of coming together, we encourage mingling and dancing. There will be limited seating.
