Cleaning and Disinfecting
Cleaning and disinfecting procedures will be completed after the use of instructional areas and following snacks and lunch. Teachers and students will be equipped with cleaning supplies so they have the ability to also disinfect as they see fit. A thorough cleaning will be completed at the end of each day as well as between cohort transitions using cleaners on the EPA list of approved disinfectants.
Staff and faculty will stress the importance of hand hygiene when using the restroom and teach students how to properly wash their hands. Hand sanitizing stations will be present in every classroom and throughout many other areas of the campus.
*Cleaning Procedures
Always clean surfaces prior to the use of disinfectants in order to reduce soil and remove germs. Dirt and other materials on surfaces can reduce the effectiveness of disinfectants. For combination products that can both clean and disinfect, always follow the instructions on the specific product label to ensure effective use.
