In order to minimize unplanned down time of our network and computing services, the technology department schedules a monthly network maintenance window on the second Thursday of each month from 4 PM – 8 PM. Email reminders will be sent in advance to confirm each occurrence. Please see the FAQ below for further explanation.
Maintenance Windows FAQ
Q. Why are you doing this?
A. Like a car, our network needs regular maintenance to function optimally. Bringing your car to the shop for an oil change in the evening is annoying but is much better than breaking down on your way to work!
Q. What will not work during the maintenance window?
A. All network services (email, Internet, printing, files, etc.) may be down during the network maintenance window. However, these services will usually be down only intermittently and you may not notice a difference.
Q. Can I use my computer, Internet, etc. during the network maintenance window?
A. We recommend you do not use any of our services during the network maintenance window as you may be disrupted and/or lose work.
