School News

Tuesday Early Release

School is dismissed at 2:15 p.m. every Tuesday. The first one is tomorrow! Please make sure arrangements have been made for your child to be picked up on time. There is no supervision after school hours. 

Back To School Night - Thurs., Aug 31, 2023

The evening is a chance for families to hear from the teacher about the grade level curriculum, special events and the overall expectations of the classroom. Back to School Night will be held in person and is for PARENTS ONLY, so please make childcare arrangements. The grade level times are as follows:

TK - Grade 2: 5:00 pm

Grades 3-5: 6:00 pm

Safety Week

This week, the school will participate in "Safety Week". Each classroom will have conversations centered around school expectations and safety procedures. School-wide, we will review behavior expectations, online safety and practice a fire, earthquake and shelter in place (non-immediate threat) drill. As part of our School Emergency Preparedness Plan, we will be asking that each child bring in some snack foods to school in the event of a disaster. Information will come home on Thursday with guidelines for these emergency snack packs. 

We encourages families to consider the following to support our school and the safety of the students:

1. Notify the school when phone numbers or emergency contacts have changed. This allows school emergency cards to be changed accordingly and for the school to quickly get in touch with you in the event of an emergency. 

2. When visiting the school campus during the school day, sign in at the office upon arriving. (This excludes drop off and pick up.)

3. Follow the rules of the road when traveling with your child(ren) to and from school.

4. Always be prepared to stop for pedestrians in residential and school areas.

5. Create a home family emergency plan.
